As of January 1, 2019, Tessa goes global applies the following travel conditions:

Your South Africa trip is registered with the Chamber of Commerce (66627664) under the name Tessa goes global.

 

Membership VvKR

All agreements are subject to the terms of de VvKR (Association of Small-Scale Travel Organizations) applies.

 

Membership VZR-Garant

In order to comply with the legally required guarantee, Your Africa trip uses the VZR Garant guarantee scheme (www.vzr-garant.nl). You can check this via the participants page of the VZR Garant website. Within the limits of the Guarantee Scheme (which can be found on the VZR Garant website), the VZR Garant guarantee applies. In the Guarantee Scheme you can read to which (travel) offer the guarantee of VZR Garant exactly applies and what this guarantee entails. When services are not provided due to financial inability of Your Africa Trip, you can

Information on the website (and other expressions)

The prices on the website are stated in Euro (unless stated otherwise). If the exchange rate changes, we reserve the right to adjust the prices and to send you an adjusted invoice up to 6 weeks before departure. Tessa goes global reserves the right to pass these costs on to you.

All information and prices on this site, in our advertisements and in all other communications have been compiled with the greatest care. However, incorrect information can still occur. Tessa goes global, as well as its affiliated companies and suppliers are not liable for damage as a result of inaccuracies, problems caused by or inherent in the distribution of information via the internet, as well as technical failures. All flight and travel information is subject to interim changes. Obvious errors and commissions do not bind us.

Every trip booked by Tessa goes global is personal, so the prices on the website are not fixed prices. Tessa goes global does not book flights, you are only accompanied.

Booking Process

The booking is made after acceptance by the traveler (this can be done by telephone or email) of the offer proposed by us. After you have agreed to book the trip with us, you will receive an online booking form. You must sign this form. After we have received the signed booking form, you will receive an online confirmation. If you have signed the booking form, you are committed to the booking.

You are not obliged to send a copy of your passport. You have the right to only provide us with the necessary information. However, if you pass on your passport details incorrectly or unclearly, all additional additional costs are for your own account. (example: the ticket has already been printed but you have provided us with a call sign instead of a passport name. The name on the ticket must then be changed at an additional cost).

 

Lead booker
When you book a trip with several people at the same time, the address of the main booker acts as the correspondence address, he also receives the booking confirmation and the invoice. The main booker is liable for the full payment as well as for providing the travel information to the fellow travelers.

 

Payment of the trip

Twenty-five percent of the travel sum + any costs for cancellation insurance must be paid in advance when booking. The full travel sum must be transferred no later than thirty days before departure. If you have booked a trip with different conditions, it is possible that you must pay the full travel sum immediately.

Your travel documents will be sent approximately 14 days before the start of the trip.

Amendments

For changes after booking, we will charge you € 17.50 administration costs per person + any additional costs arising from the change.

Cancellation policy

Tessa goes global uses the VvKR travel conditions. The deposit is 25% of the total travel sum + any costs for cancellation insurance. You will be informed if this percentage is deviated from. For bookings from January 1, 2019, the following cancellation conditions apply:
If you have booked a trip with Tessa goes global, the following amounts are due in the event of cancellation by the traveler:

Cancel up to 56 days before the day of departure:  25% of the total travel sum

Cancellation from 55 days to 22 days before the day of departure: 50% of the total travel sum

Cancellation from 21 days to 14 days before the day of departure: 75% of the total travel sum.

Cancellation from 14 days before departure the full travel sum.

If travel and/or cancellation conditions deviate from the standard conditions mentioned above, this will be stated with the relevant trip.

When renting only a car, the following conditions are active:

Cancel up to 60 days before the day of departure:  25% of the total travel sum

Cancellation from 60 days to 30 days before the day of departure: 55% of the total travel sum

Cancellation from 30 days before departure the full travel sum.

Insurances

We always advise you to take out travel and cancellation insurance (must be taken out within 6 days of the invoice date). We are happy to take out these insurance policies for you. Our insurance agent Allianz Global Assistance offers various options for this. Make sure that you are also properly insured for activities. Inquire about the possibilities when booking.

No passage program

Although rare, it can happen that part of a program cannot proceed. We will do everything in our power to find the right solution together with you, but cannot be held responsible.

Travel documents

As a traveler, you are responsible for being in possession of valid travel documents on departure and during the trip. In doing so, you must inform yourself of the most current requirements with regard to your travel documents.

You must be in possession of a valid return ticket and have sufficient financial means to support yourself and your fellow travelers during your stay. If you do not have Dutch nationality, you may have to meet different conditions. We advise you to check with the relevant embassy.

Pricing
Your Africa trip (Tessa goes global) can increase the travel sum up to 20 days before the start of the trip due to price changes in:
– costs of fuel or other energy sources, or;
– taxes or fees of third parties not directly involved in the execution of the trip, or;
– changes in exchange rates*

*If 1 euro is worth less than R 16.5
*If 1 euro is worth less than $1

If the price increase amounts to more than 8% of the travel sum, the traveler can terminate the agreement and the traveler will receive a refund of the travel sum paid.

If the right to a price increase has been agreed, the traveler has a corresponding right to a price reduction. An administration fee of 30 euros will be deducted from the amount due to the traveler.
